Things I've been loving lately

Truly phenomenal artist, if you haven't checked out her music...YOU SHOULD! Now! Her debut song "Video Games" is rather known but there is a whole lot more (and please, let's disregard the whole SNL thing), her debut album "Born to Die" came out this week and it is a masterpiece. An interesting mix of melodies, intelligent lyrics quoting Nabokov amongst others.  If you do listen to her..what's your favourite song? Currently I'm leaning between National Anthem, Summertime Sadness and Dark Paradise.

2.  Vampire diaries

Amazing TV show, my obsession, my love. Spent last week re-watching all the episodes from the beginning and that made me realize how much I truly enjoy this show!

3. Simplicity

Fresh faced & minimal makeup, that's my beauty-moto lately. 

4.Movies I've recently watched

Tanner Hall and The Help, Both great movies. Tanner Hall has more of an "indie"/ "independent"feel to it.  The Help on the other hand is excepcionally touching and entertaining as well.

5. Excercise!

  I've been on a slight health kick for the past month, trying to get a move on everyday. I think I'll elaborate on that later since it's something that would require a full post :) I love getting a good work out every single day and I've come to prioritizing it a lot more during the last couple of weeks. 

6. Art

 I've been really into sketching lately, I'm one of those people who can't just sit still and watch a movie, I have to do several things at the same time, so I've been doing a little sketching, specifically working on portraits last week. These aren't great but they're quick ones I did during a movie or when watching a TV show :) (and yes, I'm totally watching Legally Blonde, if you're wondering...)

SO these are some things that have been keeping me occupied for the past month or so :)

Decorations around the house

 I'm exhausted! These past few days have consisted of cleaning, cooking & decorating...constantly! + not being able to procrastinate thanx to our internet being broken up until yesterday.  I know I've been making loads of christmassy posts...but I've got to take advantage of the time of year, right?

Tomorrow is Christmas eve! Waking up early, opening stockings, great food, games and presents..s'gonna be fabulous! What kind of traditions do you have?

Snooow???

Heeyyy!...heheee.... long time no write, eh?
So, I've been majorly slacking, which maybe you've noticed...I don't really have a super valid explanation, but all in all, I've been really stressed about school and such things and whenever I haven't been working on school, I've pretty much been sleeping. I actually went up to Stockholm last weekend to see a friend, which was a nice change, so I might show you some pics from that :)

Anyway, as I'm waiting for my cousins to arrive for the weekend, I thought I'd grasp the moment and update you. I'm in a really good mood today, thanx to many great things, not even the stress of the christmas shopping that I need to do or the spanish oral exam I have on monday is bringing me down today :)
Here's a little list of the things that make me happy right now:
- It's friday, and I've gotten through a particularly rough week :)
- I have an entire weekend ahead of me!
- I ACED a discussion-exam today in Humanities :D:D The teacher said I was the best in my group (yes, i might be bragging a litttllee, but I honestly always have an incredibly hard time with discussions/debates) 
- My cousins are coming soon :) haven't seen them in quite a long time!
- One of my favourite people in the world is coming home this weekend for christmas! :D
- Sunday, I'm meeting up with some girlfriends, one of which has been of fin england for the past 6 months, so that'll be sooo fun!
- The favourite person mentioned above is coming to stay on tuesday! <3
- Wednesday, I'm having a christmas breakfast with this person + 2 other favourite people!
- CHRISTMASSSSS HOLIDAYYYYSS in like 5 days!
- I'll get my permit for driving reaaal soon! so stoked!

etc etc....So you get it, I'm pleased about quite a lot of things right now! Hope that didn't bore you to death, perhaps it inspires you :) Make your own list about things that please you at the moment :)

On a slightly lesser note, I read something devastating in the newspaper today...something along the lines " Surprisingly mild weather this christmas" which in short terms translates to the probablility of getting snow being very slim! NO SNOW FOR CHRISTMAS?! :( We always get snow here! Can't remember a single christmas that hasn't been white....right now its just raining all the time. So hopefully the weather takes an unexpected turn and gives us some snow, or I'll be pissed (:
Whoever is in charge of the weather up there: You have about 6 days to go!

These are all from november last year...my longing for snow right now is unimaginable.. :(


Anyways, hopefully I'll get better at updating, I have a few ideas for some christmas-y posts :)

Cuteness x 3

 So, I showed the couch I posted earlier to my mum since I thought the price was really good for a couch, she thought it was worth having a look at so yesterday afternoon we headed for Ikea and came home again with this little cutie! Its possibly the cutest couch ever :P But its quite good that its small because it fits my room better and I now have somewhere else to sit than just my bed:) Isn't it cute?

 

I also picked up these cute little snowflake lights which I put in a glass vase on my bookshelf, a start to the holiday decorating that I'll elaborate on when were closer to december.

Speaking of cute things..thought I'd throw in a picture of some cupcakes that my friend Sofia and I baked last weekend, they were sooo sweet! :P

Paris day 1!

Heyy! So I got back from Paris yesterday evening after a quite long day of travelling. I had a great time there and it was sooo much fun to see Vera again! We are so amazingly awesome together! :P
So here next I give you Paris day 1, which really is a compilation of monday and tuesday, since monday was only travelling.

Planes! :D I love Copenhagen airport!

Our terminal had a shortage of benches, which was really strange, so my sister sat on the floor instead...

We decided to rent an appartment instead of staying in a hotel, somewhat more convenient. We  stayed in the Saint Germain des pres area which was super! We had walking distance to pretty much everything! But the place was certainly petite :P nice and clean..but small. Vera and I stayed in the sofa bed all bundled up together haha!

We were looking around in Printemps, which is a big luxury departement store, and were completley awed away by the christmas decorations...its only november but i got the hugest surge for christmas! + I look like a 5 year old in that last picture -.-

The streets were remarkably empty on tuesday, apparentley there was some kind of red day or whatever.

Day 1 started out pretty slow since the weather was pretty bad but towards the evening it was nice and warm again. :)

Spooky

My school's picture committee is holding a Halloween-themed photography contest where you can win flight tickets, so me and a friend decided that we'd give it a go.  She came over this morning and I did her makeup, which for the record was quite a heavy assignment to get off, and then we went out to the forest where I live and took some pics.  Were not sure if were going to send one in, but I do quite like how this one turned out, it looks quite scary :P

What do you think? Is it halloween-y enough?

Autumn wonders

 Just barely got back from an almost 2 hour long walk with the dogs, I feel so much better after some exercise, I really need to start prioritizing it! It was cold yet the sun was out so it was totally fine + its so pretty outside! But now I'm really tired, threw myself into a warm shower when I got home and now I need to rehearse for a presentation that I have tomorrow morning! Oh the relief I'll feel when its over! No more assignments until after the break! do you know what that means? = better bloging! ;D It'll be great!

Can't be bothered

Ughhh! I'm so frustrated right now! I have this major history essay due tomorrow and its literally bugging the crap out of me. It's a group essay which makes it so much worse! Essays aren't meant to be written in groups, I mean come on! and since the guys in my group apparently are incapable of working, I have to do almost everything, luckily there's one more girl in my group who works well...

And on top of that I have another hand in due tomorrow..
...but on the bright side, holidays next week! and that's what's keeping me going. 6 more days and I'll be fine!


I know I'm complaining to much but it helps to rant, now I can go back and finish of the essay feeling slighlty less aggravated.

Wednesday afternoon is when I can breathe out and feel relieved and thats when I can get back to bloging normally, EXCITED! I just can't write about anything interesting when I have all this annoying school work to do!

I finally booked flight tickets for Paris in 2 weeks! I'm beyond excited! It'll be the best thing ever!
Anyways, I still have a lot going on, but tomorrow evening I'll be hugely relieved because then I will have suffered through what probably is going to be a rather hard exam in "Economical Politics." But I feel like I have a grip on it so hopefully I'll ace it :)

Then I only have 2 big assignments and a maths test to endure before holidays in 2 weeks (PARIIISS!!!) :) 

Now I'm going to read through my notes and go to bed. Tomorrows a long day but hopefully I'll find the time to update with something a bit more interesting! :D
